Job summary

BNY is seeking a Senior Specialist, Infrastructure Engineer to manage DB2 subsystems, middleware, and mainframe operations. The role requires strong z/OS knowledge, DB2 data sharing, and collaboration with developers and DBAs to ensure reliable system performance.

Applicants should be able to coordinate complex incidents, lead projects, and participate in disaster recovery exercises, including weekend work when needed. A Bachelor’s degree in CS or equivalent experience is required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
5+ years of related experience; securities/financial services background is a plus.

Responsibilities

Install/configure/upgrade DB2 and middleware across mainframe and distributed components.
Troubleshoot DB2 subsystem problems.
Coordinate changes, requests, incidents and communicate status.
Participate in PoCs for new technologies and DR exercises.
Provide 24x7 coverage for DB2 and product installations.
Lead projects to completion and mentor teammates.
