Job summary

NTT DATA North America is seeking a seasoned Mainframe Engineer to join our Merrimack, NH team in a hybrid onsite role. You will provide technical leadership, drive data-processing architecture, and set standards across platforms.

The role requires extensive COBOL, DB2, VSAM, and JCL experience, with CICS knowledge highly valued. We offer a competitive salary range and comprehensive benefits, with opportunities for career growth in a global IT services leader.

Qualifications

8+ years on COBOL, DB2, VSAM and JCL.
5+ years CICS System knowledge would be valuable.

Responsibilities

Provide thought & technical leadership for the key initiatives.
Developing and maintaining architecture solutions on a platform dedicated to high scale processing of large amounts of data.
Setting, communicating, and reinforcing technical standards
Providing leadership for junior and senior engineers alike, by understanding how to leverage and enhance their current skills
Assessing and researching current implementations of the platform and determining the course of action required to elevate the platform to meet customer needs.
Working with Operations to plan major infrastructure upgrades, to troubleshoot issues and to tune the environment for optimal performance and uptime
Collaborating with peers and management on process improvement ideas, policy and procedure enhancements, and opportunities to improve our customer's service experience.
Participating in code review and unit testing and providing support on issues in non-prod or production
