Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services in the United States (Atlanta) is seeking a seasoned COBOL developer with 8+ years of experience in COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, CICS and related tools. The role involves migrating legacy systems to distributed environments, applying Lean/Agile practices, and owning modules from design to testing.

You'll lead offshore teams, collaborate with product owners, ensure performance standards, and deliver scalable end-to-end solutions.

Qualifications

8+ years of experience in COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, CICS and related tools.
Experience migrating legacy systems to distributed environments.
Familiar with Lean/Agile/XP, CI, documentation and testing practices.

Responsibilities

Experience in migration from legacy to distributed systems.
Apply principles of SDLC and Lean/Agile/XP, CI, Software and Product Security, Scalability, Documentation Practices and Testing Techniques
Write code that meets standards and delivers desired functionality using the technology selected for the project
Understand performance parameters and assess application performance
Experience on working with API through middleware.
Working independently and taking ownership on business requirements.
Collaborating with other technical partners and Product Owners.
Strong technical and Analytical capabilities.
