Cognizant is seeking a highly motivated Senior Mainframe Developer (ACI Money Transfer systems) with extensive experience in payment processing and mainframe technologies. You will analyze business requirements, implement system enhancements, support testing activities, and ensure successful deployment of application changes.

The role is remote and open to qualified applicants in the United States, with an annual salary range of $60,000 to $93,500 depending on experience.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Mainframe application development.
• Strong hands-on experience with COBOL programming in Mainframe environments.
• Working knowledge of Unix/Linux operating systems and scripting fundamentals.
• Experience with ACI Money Transfer System (MTS) or similar payment processing platforms.
• Understanding of SDLC, testing methodologies, and release management processes.

Responsibilities

• Identify application changes and develop solutions aligned with requirements.
• Perform coding, unit testing, and quality validation.
• Coordinate and support SIT and UAT, including defect analysis.
• Execute production deployments and post-release validation.
• Prepare deployment guides and process documentation.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and stand-ups.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery.
