Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Senior Mainframe Developer (ACI Money Transfer) to analyze requirements and implement enhancements in payment processing systems. The role involves coding, testing, SIT/UAT support, deployments, and documentation, with Agile participation across cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Mainframe application development.
• Strong COBOL programming in Mainframe environments.
• Experience with ACI Money Transfer System (MTS) or similar payment platforms.
• Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), testing methodologies, and release management processes.

Responsibilities

• Identify application changes and develop solutions aligned with business and technical requirements.
• Perform coding, unit testing, and quality validation of developed enhancements and fixes.
• Coordinate and support System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including defect analysis and resolution.
• Execute production deployments, validate post-release changes, and support rollout activities.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, deployment guides, and process documentation.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and status meetings.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues and ensure timely delivery of enhancements.
