Job summary

Precision Technologies Corp (PTC) seeks experienced Senior Hogan IDS Mainframe Developers to support a large-scale modernization program. The role requires hands-on Hogan IDS, COBOL, JCL, DB2, and IBM Mainframe expertise.

This is a long-term remote opportunity with an initial 6–12 month contract and strong extension potential. You will design, develop, enhance, and maintain Hogan IDS applications, modify COBOL and JCL, and work with DB2 in a mainframe environment.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of IBM Mainframe development experience.
• Strong hands-on Hogan IDS Development experience.
• Hands-on experience creating, modifying, and supporting JCL batch jobs.
• Strong DB2 experience in a Mainframe environment.
• Experience in mainframe application development, maintenance, debugging and production support.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain Hogan IDS applications in an IBM Mainframe environment.
• Develop and modify COBOL programs per business and technical requirements.
• Create, modify, and support JCL batch-processing jobs.
• Develop and maintain applications using DB2 databases.
• Analyze requirements and translate into technical solutions.
• Perform enhancements, debugging, testing, and defect resolution.
• Troubleshoot production and development issues and provide timely resolutions.
• Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, QA teams, and technical stakeholders.
• Communicate project status, issues, dependencies, and progress.
• Follow development, testing, security, and documentation standards.
• Participate in Mainframe modernization initiatives and delivery activities.

Job Summary:

• Experience with Mainframe application development, maintenance, debugging, and production support.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in Banking / Financial Services environments.
• Experience with Hogan Banking Systems and related Mainframe applications.
• Knowledge of CICS, VSAM, TSO/ISPF, and Mainframe utilities.
• Experience supporting large-scale Mainframe modernization programs.
• Experience working in Agile or enterprise delivery environments.
