Job summary

TALENT Software Services is seeking a seasoned mainframe applications analyst for the EDIG team in a fast-paced, on-site role. You will perform all phases of analysis and design, translate business requirements into technical specs, and guide development from COBOL to DB2/IMS environments.

Expect on-call duties and a 8-5 schedule with possible after-hours as needed. The successful candidate will have 4+ years in application development and the ability to communicate clearly, work under pressure,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 4 years of related work experience or 2 years with an associate's degree.
• 4 years of application development, systems testing or related experience.
• Onsite work - No remote; willing to relocate.

Responsibilities

• Perform all phases of applications systems analysis and design.
• Analyze systems specifications and develop applications to support information systems processes.
• Prepare detailed specifications from which complex programs will be written; design, code, test, and maintain these programs.
• Formulates scope and objectives through research to develop or modify complex systems.
• Analyze and evaluate existing or proposed systems; develop functional and technical specifications and workflows.
