Job summary

Kyndryl is seeking an experienced Mainframe CICS System Administrator in the Phoenix area. The role requires onsite presence three days a week, with relocation considered.

You will manage CICS TS environments, apply patches, and tune performance while growing toward senior architecture paths within a large-scale mainframe environment. You will work on CICS administration, DR planning, and performance monitoring, collaborating with teams and pursuing professional growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in Mainframe CICS.
• Proven experience in CICS System Administration environment (work management, user management, journal management, performance management).
• Experience in CICS transaction server and related ISV products.
• Capable of upgrading/installing/migrating CICS Transaction servers.
• Knowledge of z/OS, Unix System Services, SMP/E, REXX, Java, VSAM, and third-party products.

Responsibilities

• Install, upgrade, and maintain CICS TS environments (production, test, DR).
• Apply patches (PTFs); manage version upgrades; perform regression validation.
• Configure and maintain CICS regions and startup parameters (DFHSIT).
• Monitor transaction performance and system health using tools like OMEGAMON, MainView, TMON.
• Perform tuning to eliminate bottlenecks and ensure optimal performance.
