Motion Recruitment is seeking a Mainframe CICS System Administrator to join our Phoenix-area infrastructure operations team. This full-time, hybrid role requires three days onsite weekly and involves enterprise-scale mainframe environments, CICS TS, performance monitoring, and mission-critical workloads.

The ideal candidate will troubleshoot complex systems, optimize performance, and contribute to modernization efforts alongside senior engineers and operators.

Qualifications

• 5+ years supporting IBM mainframe environments.
• Experience administering CICS Transaction Server (CICS TS).
• Experience applying PTFs and supporting system upgrades.
• Knowledge of production, test, and disaster recovery environments.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and upgrade CICS TS environments.
• Support version upgrades and patch implementation.
• Administer production, test, and disaster recovery regions.
• Monitor transaction performance and system health.
• Analyze CPU, storage, and transaction response metrics.
• Perform tuning activities to improve application performance.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure-related issues.
• Collaborate with operations and engineering teams.
