Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in mainframe systems, automation engineering, or related field.
- Expert-level experience with IBM System Automation for z/OS (SA z/OS).
- Advanced REXX programming experience.
- Strong hands-on with IBM NetView and NetView automation.
- Experience with automation tables, message automation and policy-based automation.
- Deep knowledge of IBM z/OS operating environments and mainframe operations.
- Hands-on with CICS, Db2, IMS, JES2/JES3, MQ, TCP/IP.
- Experience building CICS automation including startup and health monitoring.
- Understanding of Parallel Sysplex and cross-system automation.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, implement, and maintain enterprise automation for IBM z/OS.
- Configure SA z/OS including policy and resource automation.
- Develop REXX programs, command processors, and automation scripts.
- Configure IBM NetView automation and event processing.
- Develop automation across CICS, Db2, IMS, JES2/JES3, MQ, TCP/IP.
- Design automation for CICS availability, startup, shutdown, recovery, health monitoring.
- Support Parallel Sysplex and cross-system automation strategies.
- Work with IBM Workload Scheduler (IWS, TWS, ZWS).
- Automate z/OS UNIX System Services and shell scripting.
- Integrate automation with monitoring and event management tools.
