Job summary

HonorVet Technologies seeks a Senior Application Programmer for Mainframe Systems in Cerritos, CA. The role is initially onsite five days per week with potential telework later based on project needs.

You will lead or contribute to the full software lifecycle—from analysis and design to testing and implementation—optimizing mainframe applications and integrating systems. A strong mainframe background is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT or Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Minimum seven years of experience in mainframe data processing and programming.
• Experience with COBOL, IMS/DB2, CICS and related mainframe tooling.

Responsibilities

• Lead and/or contribute to complex mainframe applications design, development, testing, and deployment.
• Translate requirements into robust, scalable mainframe solutions.
• Ensure quality, security, and performance of applications and interfaces.
• Collaborate with customers to validate functionality and acceptance.
