The State Controller’s Office in Sacramento, CA is seeking a Mailing Machines Operator II to operate complex multi-function mailing equipment, process large volumes for USPS and other carriers, and ensure accurate postage reporting.

You may lift up to 50 lb, move mail cages, handle sorting, set up metering and shrink-wrap equipment, and work a Monday–Friday 12:30pm–9pm schedule with mandatory overtime during peak periods.

Qualificações

• Knowledge of postal regulations related to postage and ZIP code sorting.
• Stand for extended periods while performing duties.
• Ability to work as a team member with the Disbursements team.
• Excellent attendance and dependability.
• Ability to be flexible with changing workload.
• Adherence to health and safety standards.
• Ability to adhere to mandatory overtime during peak periods.

Responsabilidades

• Operate a variety of mailing equipment, including complex multi-function inserting machines.
• Clear jams and perform maintenance on mailing equipment.
• Review work orders and process jobs per specifications and schedules.
• Ensure quality control of processed mail.
• Operate presort machine for ZIP Code sorting and manage mail trays.
