Job summary

Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock is seeking a Specialist III - Distribution to perform mail and package distribution, courier duties and support warehouse tasks. The role supports TTUHSC operations and requires accuracy and reliability.

The position offers full-time, hourly pay with a schedule of 8:00 AM–12:00 PM and 1:00 PM–5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. A high school diploma with 3 years of experience is required; forklift certification and a valid driver license are

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent with 3 years of related experience; additional education may substitute on a year-for-year basis.
Warehouse or mail center experience.
Forklift certification preferred.
Valid driver license required for vehicle insurance.

Responsibilities

Sort and deliver mail and packages by stop numbers, department, and recipient name.
Determine recipient and clearly mark mail if recipient is not indicated.
Service department copiers with paper and record daily usage; replace toner and report issues.
Receive, sign, and electronically scan incoming package shipments; track status changes.
Deliver freight and Airgas tanks.
Assist with Bulk Mail preparation (folding, inserting, tabbing, sorting).
Pickup and deliver mail and packages to US Post Office, TTUHSC campus, clinics, and other TTUHSC locations.
Sort and meter all incoming mail by type and destination (including outside the US).
Type freight labels, verify addresses, and weigh packages.
