The State of Wyoming seeks a Senior Mail Clerk at the Wyoming State Penitentiary in Rawlins, WY. This role ensures secure mail handling, acts as facility receptionist during business hours, and supports staff and inmates while maintaining compliance with federal and institutional policies.

Position requires an Associate's Degree in Business or related field, 0–1 years of mail experience (or 2–4 years with substitution), and the ability to pass background checks and drug screening.

• Requires an Associate's Degree in Business or related field.
• 0-1 years of progressive work experience (Mail Clerk II level) or 2-4 years with substitution.
• Background/reference check and drug screen required.

Responsabilidades

• Answer main switchboard and transfer calls to appropriate parties.
• Process incoming/outgoing mail and inspect for contraband.
• Open and inspect inmate mail; coordinate with Post Office deliveries.
• Account for monies received through mail and deposit receipts.
• Handle staff and inmate packages, scan for contraband, and manage mailroom equipment.
• Log and coordinate legal mail; schedule mail delivery with custodial teams.
• Supervise a mail clerk if assigned; support a safe workplace.
