Job summary

Rave Digital Inc. is a Coral Springs, Florida-based IT firm seeking a senior Magento 2 backend developer for a fully remote position. You will build custom Magento modules, integrate ERPs/CRMs, optimize performance, and ensure secure backend architecture.

Responsibilities include API integration (REST/GraphQL), caching strategy, DB tuning, and collaboration with frontend teams. 5+ years in web dev and 5 years in Magento 2 backend are expected.

Qualifications

• 5-6 years of overall web development experience
• 5 years of experience with Magento 2 backend development
• Experience building custom Magento 2 modules and extensions
• Experience integrating third-party systems and APIs with Magento 2
• Deep knowledge of Magento 2 Open Source/Adobe Commerce
• Familiar with Magento 2 APIs REST, GraphQL, asynchronous & bulk
• Experience with caching and performance optimization
• Exposure to headless Magento setups (PWA Studio, custom APIs)
• Optional: PHPUnit, Cloudflare, New Relic

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with frontend and design teams to translate requirements into backend features
• Develop custom Magento modules and extensions per Magento 2 standards
• Configure Magento backend features: customer management, orders, inventory, payments
• Integrate third-party systems and APIs for seamless data exchange
• Optimize backend performance with caching, DB tuning, and efficient code
• Conduct thorough testing and debugging for high-quality backends
• Coordinate with QA to address backend issues
• Stay updated on Magento 2 backend practices and tools
• Provide guidance to junior backend developers
• Ensure security: ACLs, CSRF/XSS protection, RBAC, and Cloudflare rules
• Monitor CWV scores and optimize performance; manage Redis, Varnish, RabbitMQ
• Configure full-page caching, asynchronous messaging, and searches (Elastic/OpenSearch)
• Maintain security and performance best practices for Magento backend
