Job summary

Parallels is seeking an experienced Senior macOS Swift Software Developer to help shape the next generation of Parallels Desktop products. You will build high-quality native GUI experiences in Swift and collaborate with UI/UX designers and Product Managers to deliver new features.

You’ll work with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into solid technical solutions, lead debugging of complex issues, and refactor legacy code to improve maintainability and performance.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with Swift and SwiftUI on macOS.
• Strong knowledge of macOS frameworks like AppKit, Cocoa, and Foundation.
• Deep understanding of Swift concurrency (async/await, actors).
• Experience delivering new features with high code quality.
• Familiarity with Objective-C.
• Excellent communication and collaboration.
• B.Sc. or equivalent in CS.
• Nice to have: C++/Obj-C++ interop.
• Nice to have: client-server app experience.
• Nice to have: Git, Jira, Confluence familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Build high-quality native GUI experiences for Parallels Desktop products using Swift.
• Work closely with UI/UX designers and Product Managers to design and deliver new features.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate product requirements into solid technical solutions.
• Lead troubleshooting and resolution of complex issues affecting product quality and user experience.
• Support and improve existing functionality, including thoughtful refactoring of the legacy codebase.
• Contribute to engineering standards through code reviews and technical discussions.
