Job summary

CPI Electron Device Business is seeking an experienced machinist to setup and operate a range of manual machinery, read engineering drawings, and perform inspections to ensure quality across all parts. The role requires strong tool design skills and ability to work with ProtoTRAK equipment.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED and an AA in a technical field; 3 years of machining experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Highschool diploma or GED required.
• Advanced trade school or AA in technical field preferred.
• 3 years of advanced work experience or concentrated machining training with a strong understanding of machine tool processes.
• Ability to read, interpret and work from technical drawings, written or verbal instructions.
• Strong trouble shooting, problem-solving & organizational skills.
• Fluent in the setup & operation of mills, lathes, surface grinders & other support equipment required.
• ProtoTRAK experience preferred.
• This role requires access to export-controlled information, subject to the ITAR and EAR, for which the company will not pursue an export license/license exception. Must be a US person (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals) to be eligible for this role.
