Los Alamos National Laboratory in Los Alamos, NM, is seeking qualified machinists to support the Prototype Fabrication Division by machining components using manual and CNC mills, lathes, and wire EDM. The role may be filled at Machinist 4 or 5 depending on skills, with higher level adding mentoring and CAD/CAM responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge in setup and operation of manual and CNC mills and lathes.
• Strong shop math and fixturing design abilities.
• Experience with GD&T per ASME Y14.5.

Responsabilités

• Machining parts from complex drawings to tight tolerances.
• Operate manual and CNC mills/lathes and wire EDM machines.
• Collaborate with engineers to optimize manufacturability.
