Job summary

HOLT CAT in Kilgore, Texas is seeking an experienced Machinist for our heavy construction equipment shop. The Machinist performs standard machining repairs on heavy equipment in a shop environment, lays out tasks, reads blueprints, and designs working sketches.

The position is onsite in Kilgore with Monday–Friday 7am–4pm hours; location is listed as Longview, Texas. Five+ years of machining experience and the ability to mentor others are required.

Qualifications

• Five+ years machining experience.
• Reads blueprints and technical publications.
• Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Ability to supervise Machinists and mentor others.

Responsibilities

• Perform machining operations to manufacture, modify, and repair parts.
• Lay out tasks and read blueprints; design sketches.
• Lead large projects and supervise other machinists.
• Maintain tools and workshop areas; ensure safety.
• Prepare service reports and paperwork.
