Job summary

HOLT CAT in Kilgore, Texas is seeking a Manual Machinist to perform precision machining on heavy equipment components in a shop setting. The role requires reading blueprints, laying out tasks, and operating CNC machines with attention to quality and safety.

You will mentor junior machinists, collaborate with the team to meet production goals, and maintain equipment and work areas. Regular hours are Mon-Fri, with potential overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Requires experience operating CNC machines in a shop setting.
• Ability to lay out tasks and read blueprints.
• Must meet physical requirements including lifting up to 50 lbs.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; technical schooling is a plus.
• Overtime and travel up to 10% may be required.

• Performs routine checks on repair work and machinery parts.
• Acts as a team leader on large projects and mentors other machinists.
• Prepares service reports and paperwork; ensures conformance to specs.
