Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Machinist at Schaffner Machine Company. The Senior Machinist will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC Swiss machining, milling & drilling equipment, as well as programming both Swiss and VMC CNCs. Daily tasks include producing precision turned parts, lead screws, shafts, rods, and tubing. Candidates should have a full range of skills utilizing micrometers, height gauges, calipers, Optical Measuring Systems (Keyence a plus), and profilometers.

Qualifications

• Experience in CNC Swiss machining, milling & drilling, and threading
• Proficiency in operating precision turning equipment
• Ability to work on a variety of thread types
• Knowledge of ISO 9000 compliance and MIL-Spec standards
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
