Job summary

ASML US, LLC in San Diego is seeking a Senior Equipment Safety Engineer to lead machine safety and equipment safety across San Diego and Korea Factory operations. You will set technical standards, guide risk assessments, and ensure regulatory and corporate compliance throughout the equipment lifecycle.

You will mentor safety staff, drive continuous improvement, and partner with engineering, manufacturing, and facilities to mitigate critical hazards while maintaining safety by design across tools

Qualifications

• Recognized technical expert in machine safety and equipment safety.
• Bachelor degree in safety or engineering; advanced degree preferred.
• 5+ years of safety experience in industrial/manufacturing settings; semiconductor experience preferred.
• Experience mentoring safety professionals; CSP/CMSE or equivalent certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the senior technical safety authority for San Diego and KF teams.
• Coach and develop junior safety engineers with training and reviews.
• Lead risk assessments and incident investigations for manufacturing safety events.
• Ensure compliance with relevant safety standards (NRTL, SEMI) across tools and labs.
• Drive safety program roadmaps and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Lead safety audits and equipment/tooling inspections.
