Job Description

This position involves inspecting yarn, handling yarn packages up to 20 lbs, ensuring correct thread-up of machines, fixing yarn breakouts, and labeling.

Responsibilities of the Verdol/Volkmann/ICBT Operator

1. Obtain daily work assignments upon arrival.
2. Load necessary yarn onto pintrucks.
3. Obtain correct color plastic tubes.
4. Transport yarn to assigned machines.
5. Doff Verdol, Volkmann, and ICBT twisters.
6. Repair yarn breaks on Verdol, Volkmann, and ICBT twisters.
7. Backwinding singles/reworks packages.
8. Perform lot change work on Verdol, Volkmann, and ICBT twisters.
9. Weigh doffed yarn.
10. Perform Job Risk Assessment (JRA).
11. Prepare doff sheets.
12. Perform patrol cycles.
13. Complete operator effectiveness audits.
14. Perform assignment leader duties as required.
15. Perform other duties as assigned by the immediate manager, including filling out JSA forms.
