Job summary

Stratasys, a world leader in 3D printing, is seeking a Machine Maintenance Technician II for Eden Prairie, MN on the 3rd shift (Sunday-Thursday, 9:45 pm–6:15 am). You will lead preventive maintenance, troubleshoot machinery, and coordinate with engineering on upgrades, while maintaining accurate maintenance records and ensuring safety compliance.

The role requires an Associate’s degree in electrical or mechanical trade (or 4+ years of related experience), strong troubleshooting skills, and

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in electrical or mechanical trade or 4 years of applicable work experience
• 4+ years of related experience
• Proven experience as a Machine Maintenance Technician or similar role, preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to think critically to solve complex problems
• Experience reading and interpreting technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics
• Experience with various hand and power tools to perform the job
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
• Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other automation systems
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Lead routine inspections and preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment and schedule maintenance
• Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctions using a systematic approach to identify root causes
• Perform repairs and replace defective parts using hand and power tools
• Collaborate with production to optimize machine performance and minimize downtime
• Identify and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and reliability of equipment
• Participate in equipment upgrades and modifications as required
• Maintain records of maintenance activities, work orders, manuals, and spare parts inventory
• Generate reports on machine performance and maintenance issues
• Adhere to safety protocols and compliance with machine safety standards
• Coordinate with management on outstanding equipment orders and lead training of junior technicians
• Assist engineering with purchasing and installing new equipment
