Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of solidworks (or combined CAD) experience in machine design (motors, actuators, pneumatics, sensors).
• Engineering or bachelor’s degree not required; skills trump formal education.
• Experience with motion control and automation hardware is highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical systems using SolidWorks for new equipment, fixtures and machines.
• Incorporate off-the-shelf hardware and automation components into new designs.
• Assist with manufacturing processes: machining, 3D printing, sheet metal, weldments, plastics.
• Create manufacturing drawings and reports; participate in reviews with customers and vendors.
• Prototype bench testing and assembly; conduct basic analyses.
