Hadrian seeks a Machine Controls & Data Integration System Engineer to lead integration of machine controls with enterprise data platforms across multiple sites. Based in Torrance, CA, you will build connectivity across PC-based controls, PLC subsystems, and vendor interfaces while governing schemas and data pipelines for high-integrity telemetry.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in a relevant engineering or CS field.
• 5+ years integrating production equipment with software platforms.
• Hands-on experience with industrial protocols and data platforms.

Responsibilities

• Build and own the connectivity layer across the AM fleet, including log, file, and tag-level extraction.
• Own schemas, tag dictionaries, naming conventions, units, and versioning for scalable integrations.
• Design, build, and operate telemetry and build data pipelines with reliable storage.
• Define interfaces and verify deliveries with OEMs and internal teams.
• Instrument supplementary sensing and edge compute where data is insufficient.
• Partner with IT to secure controllers on a compliant network (NIST/CMMC).
• Support FAT/SAT from controls and connectivity perspectives.
• Handoff build prep to machine execution and record systems.
• Establish OEM relationships and enforce interface requirements.
• Provide data integrity and audit trails for qualification needs.
• Lead structured problem solving using 8D, 5 Whys, with verified closure.
