Job summary

Baker Tilly US is seeking a Manager to join our Transaction Services Tax team. In this role, you will develop and deliver transaction advisory services for privately held and publicly traded clients across industries, with a focus on buy- and sell-side transactions.

The ideal candidate has CPA or JD/LLM, 2+ years in a professional services firm, and strong analytical and communication skills to support client engagements and due diligence efforts. Location is flexible within the United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field is required.
• CPA or JD/LLM is required.
• 2+ years of work experience in a mid to large-size professional services firm.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Interact directly with Partners on client and engagement management.
• Model financial transactions for valuation, structuring and negotiation.
• Prepare memoranda and presentations describing client attributes and industries.
• Assist in reviewing tax aspects of acquisition and merger agreements.
• Identify and analyze tax risks and opportunities while advising on tax strategies.
• Review tax computations in financial models and analyze tax data in projections.
• Data gathering, document review and report preparation.
• Research and financial analysis of target companies.
• Due diligence for buy side and sell side transactions.
• Transaction structuring for tax and accounting issues.
• Negotiation support and client communications for service delivery.
• Participate in marketing and recruiting activities of the firm.
