Job summary

Ramboll is seeking Managing or Senior Managing Consultant candidates to support our global M&A Transactional Due Diligence practice in the Columbus, OH region. You will lead environmental due diligence projects, conduct Phase I ESAs, and assist with environmental compliance reviews for industrial facilities and post‑transaction integration, while managing budgets and client communications.

The role requires a strong consulting background, 7+ years in ESAs and compliance, and experience

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in environmental discipline (e.g., geology, environmental or chemical engineering, environmental science)
• At least 7 years of experience performing Phase I ESAs and environmental compliance reviews
• Experience developing proposals and cost estimates for transactional due diligence
• Experience in analysis of investigation and remediation of contaminated sites
• Experience in multi-media compliance support
• Environmental Professional as defined by ASTM E1527-21
• Demonstrated ability in Phase I ESAs and compliance reviews of complex industrial sites
• Knowledge of emerging contaminants, ESG, product stewardship and safety, health and safety, PSM, DOT, and/or international regulations is a plus

Responsibilities

• Manage environmental due diligence projects for industrial, private equity, and legal clients
• Lead environmental compliance reviews of industrial facilities
• Support clients with permitting, reporting and record keeping
• Develop proposals and cost estimates for due diligence and compliance projects
• Review site investigation reports and provide conclusions/recommendations
• Lead a small group of junior environmental professionals
• Engage in client discussions and lead client communications
