Job summary

Sterling Kohler is seeking a Sr. Mergers & Acquisitions Analyst to drive transactions and provide rigorous financial analysis across the deal lifecycle. This fully remote US role collaborates with senior leaders, external advisors, and banks to coordinate due diligence and execution.

You will build sophisticated valuation models, analyze statements and projections, and prepare materials for the Board of Directors. A strong quantitative background and 3+ years in related fields are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with strong quantitative background.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, transaction advisory, or an equivalent analytical field.
• Experience with buy-side or sell-side M&A and equity or debt financing transactions.
• Strong financial modeling skills and valuation experience (DCF, LBO, comparable company analyses).
• Experience preparing and maintaining executive presentations, benchmarking materials, and transaction documents.

Responsibilities

• Drive complex transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, venture investments, financing activities, and other strategic transactions.
• Coordinate due diligence processes, transaction workplans, internal approvals, meetings, and communications among internal and external parties.
• Liaise with investment banks, founders, potential buyers and sellers, attorneys, consultants, and other transaction parties.
• Manage execution timelines, deliverables, dependencies, and follow-ups across concurrent transaction workstreams.
• Prepare executive-ready presentations and reports explaining industry trends, company positioning, and strategic alternatives.
