Job summary

CFS is seeking a Senior Accounting Analyst (M&A) in a Hybrid role with Fridays at home. The position offers a $75,000–$90,000 base range plus a discretionary semi-annual bonus, aligned with DOE. You will own GL close, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling, supporting acquisition evaluations and integration efforts.

You will collaborate with leadership on ERP implementation, internal controls, and strategic initiatives, gaining exposure to three-statement modeling and valuation analyses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting with 3+ years of hands-on general ledger experience including month-end close, reconciliations and intercompany accounting.
• Experience budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling and financial analysis; exposure to three-statement modeling, M&A valuation, or acquisition analysis preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, lookups, financial modeling) and ERP systems experience in a multi-entity environment.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain three-statement financial models (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) to support acquisition evaluations, investment analysis, and strategic planning.
• Support M&A valuation and purchase price analysis using EBITDA, cash flow, valuation multiples, and other financial metrics.
• Own general ledger accounting activities, including journal entries, accruals, balance sheet reconciliations, intercompany accounting, and month-end close.
• Prepare budgets, forecasts, budget-to-actual variance analysis, and financial reporting across multiple entities.
• Support ERP implementation, JSOX compliance, internal controls, and process improvements while partnering with leadership on special projects.
