Job summary

Materion Corporation is seeking an experienced manufacturing operator to support the production of LX tantalum powders. You will operate crushers, furnaces, dryers, coolers and packaging equipment, while maintaining clean and safe work areas and ensuring traceability in SAP.

Responsibilities include equipment setup, routine maintenance, process sampling, and following SOPs to uphold product quality. Teamwork and proactive problem solving are essential in this fast-paced factory setting.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent with at least 2 years industrial manufacturing experience.
• Welding education and experience desirable but not required.
• Requires the ability to follow standard operating procedures and prescribed safety rules to maintain high quality standards and safe working conditions.
• Requires mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, basic math skills.
• Must adhere to strict environmental and safety rules and identify areas for improvement.
• Expected to work as part of a team, to make good decisions, to anticipate production problems, and to resolve them with some assistance.

Responsibilities

• Sets up and operates Jaw crushers, Tornado/Pin Mills and all blending equipment to support the production of LX powders.
• Sets up and operates Doxy Furnaces, Doxy Leach and the chemical addition equipment for LX powders.
• Sets up and operates Air Dryers, Screeners and Dry Magnet in the production of LX powders.
• Sets up and runs Agglomeration furnaces and Vacuum Packaging equipment.
• Performs troubleshooting and routine preventative maintenance on production equipment.
• Enters material movements in SAP and completes QC and lot traceability paperwork.
