Job summary

Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) seeks a Licensed Vocational Nurse III for the Rio Grande State Supported Living Center in Harlingen, TX. This role supports individuals with complex medical/behavioral needs on morning, evening, and night shifts.

The LVN will provide nursing care, assessments, and coordination with the healthcare team. The position offers non-telework, full-time hours, and opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an LVN program.
• Licensed to practice as an LVN in Texas or via reciprocity.
• 6 months prior LVN experience preferred.
• Experience with electronic health record system preferred.
• Willingness to work weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Administers medications and treatments per orders.
• Directs and trains LVNs and direct care staff.
• Monitors weight, vital signs and health status.
• Documents care in medical records and uses EHR.
• Coordinates with RNs and healthcare team.
