Job summary

Texas Health and Human Services seeks a Licensed Vocational Nurse III in Austin, TX. You will administer medications, monitor health and vital signs, and supervise LVN staff within the State Supported Living Center environment.

The role requires completing an LVN program, TX licensure, and typically 6–12 months of LVN experience. Ongoing training, supportive supervision, and a 100% health insurance option for full‑time staff are provided.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an LVN program.
• 6 months prior LVN experience preferred.
• 12 months LVN experience preferred.
• Licensed to practice as LVN in TX (or reciprocity).

Responsibilities

• Administers medications and treatments per orders.
• Monitors patient health status, vital signs and labs.
• Instructs direct care staff on medical needs and procedures.
• Trains LVN staff and oversees their daily assignments.
