Job summary

Blue Origin in California is seeking a Mechanical/Aero Space Thermal Engineer to join the Lunar Core Components Heat Transfer team. You will contribute thermal hardware expertise to lunar lander architectures, guiding designs from concept through build, test, and verification.

The role emphasizes collaboration across disciplines, with emphasis on heat exchangers, cold plates, radiators, CFD and CREO modeling.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a B.S. degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering.
• 5+ years of relevant Thermal Engineering experience.
• Strong grasp of heat transfer and fluid system fundamentals.
• Familiarity with heat exchangers, cold plates, radiators, and other common spacecraft hardware.
• Demonstrated experience designing, sizing, building, and testing hardware.
• Understanding of aerospace hardware verification and validation process.
• Moderate experience with CAD software; preferably Creo.
• Familiarity with CFD simulation methods for component-level analysis.
• Experience designing and testing thermal components.
• Experience working in cross-functional teams to deliver results.
