Job summary

Uber Freight is seeking a Sr. Transportation Procurement Analyst to lead complex LTL sourcing, pricing, and carrier procurement initiatives. You will independently analyze networks, evaluate proposals, develop sourcing recommendations, and partner with carriers through procurement and implementation activities.

This hybrid role sits at one of Uber Freight's Centers of Excellence. You will also drive process improvements, build analytical tools, and support stakeholders across Operations,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Ability to analyze complex shipment data, lane-level pricing, and carrier proposals to develop sourcing recommendations.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including working with medium-to-large datasets and pricing comparisons.
• Solid understanding of LTL pricing components, including tariffs, discounts, minimum charges, FAK structures, accessorials, and fuel.
• Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain, business, transportation, analytics, or related field.
• 7+ years of LTL procurement, pricing, carrier sourcing, or transportation analytics experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication with the ability to translate analysis into findings and recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage LTL procurement and pricing initiatives for prospective and existing customers, including data preparation and sourcing execution.
• Analyze complex shipment, pricing, service, and network data to identify cost and service opportunities.
• Evaluate carrier proposals across line haul, fuel, accessorials, service coverage, and transit time.
• Develop sourcing scenarios and recommendations balancing customer requirements, capabilities, and financial objectives.
• Partner with LTL carriers during sourcing events to clarify requirements, negotiate opportunities, and facilitate bid participation.
• Strengthen the strategic carrier portfolio by evaluating capabilities, pricing, and service performance.
• Develop and standardize analytical tools, reporting, and processes to improve procurement accuracy and efficiency.
• Monitor procurement performance via KPIs and post-award analysis; recommend improvements as needed.
• Translate complex data into clear recommendations for customers, internal stakeholders, carriers, and leadership.
