Job summary

Apploi is seeking a skilled Maintenance Supervisor for a nursing home. The role oversees the Maintenance Department, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient facility operations.

You will develop policies, coordinate with dining, nursing, and activities, and lead preventive maintenance initiatives. The ideal candidate has at least two years in maintenance, nursing home exposure, and strong knowledge of building systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years in a maintenance position.
• Nursing home experience required.
• HVAC certification strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of boilers, compressors, generators, and mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations.
• Licensed in accordance with current standards and laws.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the Maintenance Department and its activities.
• Develop and maintain written maintenance policies and procedures.
• Assist maintenance staff with policies, procedures, and equipment.
• Review policies and job descriptions annually and suggest revisions to the Administrator.
• Coordinate maintenance services with other departments (Dietary, Nursing, Activities, etc.).
• Provide written or oral reports to the Administrator as needed about maintenance operations.
• Assist in establishing a preventive maintenance program.
