Job summary

Kensington360 is seeking an Applications Engineer to advance metal additive manufacturing solutions using LPBF technology. This role focuses on evaluating designs, optimizing manufacturability, and delivering robust production outcomes from concept to scale, with strong customer collaboration.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in additive manufacturing (LPBF metals).
• Strong understanding of design for additive manufacturing (DfAM).
• CAD interpretation and engineering drawings familiarity (SolidWorks/CATIA/NX or similar).
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Self-motivated, adaptable with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience, minimum 7 years in AM/manufacturing roles.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical liaison between customers and internal engineering teams for LPBF applications.
• Evaluate part geometry, material selection, and process parameters for manufacturability and performance.
• Provide design-for-AM feedback and collaborate with customers to optimize component performance and cost.
• Assist proposals and quoting with accurate technical input and production plans.
• Generate and review build files, cycle time estimates, and post-processing workflows.
• Coordinate with production, quality, and supply chain for project execution.
• Contribute to process improvements and share technical knowledge across the organization.
• Support customer trials, builds, and technical reviews both remotely and on-site.
