Job summary

Wachter is seeking a Low Voltage Lead Project Technician for service and large project work across the United States. This position requires travel up to 95% of the time and aims for self-motivated technicians who can work independently. Long-term employment offers competitive pay and excellent benefits.

Key responsibilities include installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of cabling infrastructure, with a focus on safety and quality. Candidates with data cabling experience and industry certifications are highly preferred.

Qualifications

• Available for extensive travel nationwide.
• Capability to read blueprints and site maps.
• Experience in conduit installation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of various cabling infrastructure.
• Run low voltage cabling in commercial buildings.
• Conduct tests to ensure all newly installed cables are operational.

Skills

Experience as a Data Cable Technician

Strong knowledge of industry standards (BICSI, NEC, TIA/EIA)

Excellent customer relationship and communication skills

Ability to work in cramped spaces

Education

Industry-specific certifications (BICSI, Systimax, Panduit, etc.)

Tools

Basic telecommunication tools
