Job summary

PBS Engineers, Inc. in San Dimas is seeking a Senior Low Voltage Technology Design Engineer to lead electrical and communications systems design for commercial and industrial projects.

You will design low-voltage networks (structured cabling, AV, security, access control, CCTV), prepare proposals, and produce plans using Revit/AutoCAD. Coordinate with clients and multi-discipline teams to ensure schedules and budgets are met while complying with NEC/IEEE/EIA/TIA standards.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of related electrical and communications design/engineering experience on commercial and industrial multi-use buildings.
• Experience with low voltage systems design for facilities/buildings.
• Proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD design software.
• Experience with existing building renovations and tenant improvements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborative teamwork.
• Ability to work well under pressure, multi-task, and manage multi-discipline projects.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).

Responsibilities

• Use client directives and site-specific design criteria to prepare low-voltage and telecom system designs and assist in bid/contract documents.
• Design and produce plans and documents for voice, data, structured cabling, AV, security, access control, intrusion detection and related systems.
• Coordinate system scope, layout and drawings with clients and other disciplines.
• Perform telecommunications and low-voltage systems analysis and develop layouts and details.
• Oversee projects from inception through final transition, coordinating with management, clients and subcontractors to meet schedules and budgets.
• Prepare technical specifications.
• Ensure compliance with NEC, IEEE, EIA, TIA and other codes relevant to low-voltage design.
• Collaborate with engineers on schedules, budgets and status reports.
• Prepare layout prints for supervisor or client.
