Job summary

Next Level Technician seeks a Lead Cable Technician in Wilmington, NC to supervise field crews, install and terminate CAT5e/CAT6, and ensure quality and progress on commercial projects.

You will read blueprints, manage materials, and collaborate with project leadership while delivering on weekly pay, PTO, and benefits. Experience in MDF/IDF builds and safety certifications is preferred.

Qualifications

• 4+ years commercial structured cabling experience
• Previous Lead Technician experience
• Strong CAT5e/CAT6 installation and termination skills
• Testing and troubleshooting experience
• MDF/IDF, racks and patch panel experience
• Ability to read prints and lay out work
• Ability to lead and direct technicians
• Basic low voltage hand tools and PPE
• OSHA 10 / Lift certifications preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead and support low voltage technicians in the field
• Pull, route, dress and terminate CAT5e/CAT6
• Terminate jacks and patch panels
• Install racks, cabinets, J-hooks and pathway
• Complete MDF/IDF buildouts
• Test and troubleshoot structured cabling
• Read prints and lay out work
• Monitor installation quality and productivity
• Communicate progress and material needs with project leadership
