Job summary

Jain Global, LLC in New York seeks a Senior Low Latency OEMS Engineer (Java) to own latency-critical components end‑to‑end, from the sequenced core through gateways to production tuning. The platform is a deterministic, event-driven system using Aeron and SBE with FIX connectivity to brokers.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of Java development, including 3+ years on low latency trading systems.
• Experience with CI/CD, containers, and cloud platforms (AWS).
• Proven ability to own production systems and investigate incidents.
• Experience using AI coding agents for development and review.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement latency-critical components in the OEMS core.
• Build and operate market-facing gateways with FIX connectivity.
• Apply low-latency Java practices on the hot path and tune GC.
• Measure latency end-to-end using benchmarks and tracing.
• Own production performance on Linux, including kernel and JVM tuning.
• Develop tests and ensure correctness with automated checks.
• Collaborate with trading, quant, DevOps and infra teams.
