Job summary

FalconX Limited is seeking a Senior Trading Systems Developer in New York to architect and build our electronic trading execution platform. You will work on hot-path components like market-data ingestion, order management, risk checks, and high-throughput venue connectivity.

You will design scalable, low-latency services in Rust and Java, ensuring resilience under heavy load and tight integration with our execution stack and internal trading infra.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in trading systems
• Strong background in Rust and/or Java (11+), performance profiling, concurrency, or memory-safe design
• Experience building EMS/OMS and execution systems with microseconds latency
• Deep understanding of order state machines and execution workflows
• Experience with Aeron or other high-throughput messaging frameworks
• Hands-on experience integrating FIX, REST, and WebSocket APIs
• Experience designing schemas and working with relational databases (Postgres, MySQL)
• Experience with Agile delivery, sprint planning, and team leadership
• Knowledge of scalable, observable, fault-tolerant services

Responsibilities

• Build scalable services using Rust and Java optimized for latency and throughput
• Develop low latency services on Aeron including OMS/EMS components and market-data pipelines
• Integrate with exchange APIs using FIX, REST, WebSocket
• Model complex order lifecycles and execution workflows
• Design and maintain SBE schemas and high-throughput messaging on Aeron
• Own full SDLC for your domain: design, test, ship, monitor
• Collaborate with quant, trading, infra, and data teams for performance and reliability
• Operate in an Agile environment with sprint planning and execution cadence
