Job summary

BSI Financial Services is seeking a Loss Mitigation Underwriter in Irving, TX. The role focuses on underwriting loans within authority guidelines to protect profitability and retention of the book of business. A minimum of five years in loss mitigation or mortgage default is preferred.

The position is full-time, with standard M-F hours plus one mandatory Saturday per month. The candidate will work with Intellimods, Sagent, and Neighborhood Watch/SMDU systems to process underwriting decisions and

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years loss mitigation or mortgage default related experience.
• High school diploma or GED required; college degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review loan files for compliance with underwriting guidelines and representations.
• Collaborate with management to improve processes and procedures.
• Handle multiple objectives with high accuracy and meet deadlines.
• Assess homeowner finances for potential loan modifications or workouts.
• Enter account information into automated systems for underwriting decisions.
• Work with investor/insurer systems to obtain approvals.
• Maintain a pipeline of loan file audits and communicate status to management.
• Compile findings into reports with exhibits.
• Assist in drafting modification and recast documents.
• Support training for new underwriters and processors.
• Meet daily production quotas and QA guidelines.
