Great American Insurance Group’s Strategic Comp unit seeks a Senior Loss Control Consultant to join the Mid Atlantic region. You will work from home and travel up to 60% with a company car provided, focusing on loss prevention for workers’ compensation programs.

The role blends field-based service, client interaction, and technical guidance to reduce losses, with a discretionary annual bonus and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years loss control experience preferred.
• The successful candidate will reside in the Greater Los Angeles territory.
• Strong workers’ compensation knowledge and ability to train clients.
• Basic underwriting and product management knowledge.
• Broad knowledge of commercial lines, engineering principles, and safety standards.
• Industry designations (ARM, CET, CSP) or Engineering degree; Masters may substitute.
• Extensive use of computers and software.

Responsibilities

• Surveys and services commercial risks for workers’ compensation.
• Originates and manages service account scheduling for territory.
• Meets or exceeds service standards.
• Provide loss control recommendations and hazard control guidance.
• Conduct loss control services and training to reduce losses.
• Maintain state-of-the-art knowledge in loss control for workers’ comp.
• Stay current with manuals, codes, and regulations for P&C lines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
