Job summary

Great American Insurance Group is seeking a Senior Loss Control Consultant to support the Mid Atlantic region. The role is work-from-home with travel up to 60% and a company car provided.

You will deliver loss control services for workers’ compensation, advise on hazard controls, and help acquire and retain profitable business. Qualified candidates have a Bachelor's degree, 10+ years in loss control, strong workers’ compensation knowledge, and the ability to train clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 10+ years loss control experience preferred.
• Must reside in the Greater Los Angeles territory.
• Strong workers' compensation knowledge and ability to train clients.
• Underwriting and product management knowledge.
• Broad knowledge of commercial insurance, engineering, loss control, safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Surveys and services commercial risks of any size and/or complexity for workers' compensation coverage.
• Originates and manages all service account scheduling and activities for the assigned territory.
• Meets or exceeds all service standards.
• Accomplishes risk improvement by providing management consultation services, developing recommendations for hazard control, and providing direct support services to the insureds.
• Conducts loss control services and training for customers to help reduce losses.
• Participates in team activities designed to help retain accounts.
• Maintains specialized state-of-the art professional capabilities in loss control support for workers' compensation products.
• Maintains specialized knowledge of company/department manuals and procedures, and relevant Federal, State, and other pertinent codes and regulations applicable to Property, Liability, and Casualty lines of coverage.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
