Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in vessel hold operations and advanced cargo handling.
• Completion of specialized training in PIT operation, cargo securing, and equipment use.
• Proficiency in operating forklifts, yard mules, chain saws, and chop saws.
• Strong understanding of cargo stowage principles and safety standards.
• Physical ability to perform demanding tasks in varied environmental conditions.
• Reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• - Hooking on cargoes in the hold for unloading and unhooking during loading onto the vessel.
• - Understanding cargo stowage, dunnage & securing requirements.
• - Proficient in Operating PIT’s stowing cargo on the vessel - Small Forklift or Yard Mule.
• - Proficient with chain & chop saws.
• - Proficient in securing cargo with lashings and carpentry & safely removing lashings/securements.
• - Visually inspect the lifting gear.
• - Maintain a clean work area.
