Qualifications

• Experience in vessel hold operations and cargo handling.
• Specialized training in PIT operation, cargo securing, and equipment use.
• Ability to work in outdoor terminals with PPE and varied weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Hook cargoes in the hold for unloading and unhook during loading onto the vessel.
• Understand cargo stowage, dunnage & securing requirements.
• Operate PIT’s small forklift or yard mule for stowing cargo on the vessel.
• Proficient with chain & chop saws.
• Secure cargo with lashings and carpentry, and safely remove lashings/securements.
• Visually inspect the lifting gear.
• Maintain a clean work area.
