Prudential's Long-Term Disability (LTD) team in Newark seeks an experienced Senior Appeals Analyst to evaluate disability claim appeals and manage a complex caseload. You will coordinate with clinical, vocational, and legal experts to determine optimal outcomes.

The role emphasizes ERISA and non-ERISA appeal handling, strong customer service, and collaboration across departments. A college degree and 3–5 years of LTD experience are preferred; a base salary is offered with bonus potential.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in stand-alone Long Term Disability claims.
• Disability Appeals experience preferred.
• Experience with ERISA appeal requirements, non-ERISA considerations, and state disability requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and assigned caseload of complex disability appeals.
• Utilize specialty resources including clinical, vocational, and legal experts.
• Demonstrate industry leading customer service internally and externally.
• Administer and apply contractual provisions.
• Demonstrate organizational and time management skills for balanced workflow.
• Develop differentiated appeals plans for optimal outcomes.
• Provide direct feedback on claim handling to appropriate parties.
• Identify opportunities for improved claim management across the organization.
