Job summary

The Home Depot is seeking a Logistics Manager to lead a defined area of logistics operations. You will provide direction, manage programs, and plan resources to meet shifting priorities. Travel up to 50% of the time and supervise staff to optimize inbound/outbound freight costs.

Ideal candidates have 6+ years in logistics, proven management experience, and a bachelor’s degree or equivalent. This on-site role requires strong interpersonal skills and strategic thinking to support stores and supply

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications: must be eighteen years of age or older; must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
Preferred qualifications include nine to twelve years of experience in logistics and management experience.
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor’s degree program or equivalent in a related field.

Responsibilities

Provide support and direction for area’s efforts.
Manage all aspects of assigned area’s operations and programs.
Participate in strategic planning and facilitate action on plans for the assigned area; provide logistics and store/retail expertise as needed.
Plan resources to complete competing priorities within the timeframe; prepare project design and timelines.
Select, develop, and motivate staff; may negotiate transportation costs for inbound/outbound freight.
