Job summary

Batory Foods in Rosemont, IL is seeking a Logistics Planner to manage day-to-day load planning in our TMS and coordinate with customers, carriers, and internal teams. You will track shipments, optimize routes, and ensure on-time performance while controlling costs.

Candidate should have a Bachelor's in Logistics/SC, 5 years in logistics, and hands-on experience with TMS/BluJay, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; strong leadership and communication skills are essential to drive improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics/Business/Supply Chain required.
• 5 years of experience in logistics.
• Experience with TMS or BluJay Solutions preferred.
• Ability to lead and motivate individuals and groups, think creatively and strategically.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and planning skills.

Responsibilities

• Freight assignments to exceed on-time pickup/delivery expectations and optimize movements.
• Maintain professional communications with customers and internal teams.
• Develop and manage carrier relationships to cover loads.
• Manage accessorial requests and operating metrics in the TMS.
• Leverage knowledge of modes, rates, weights, volumes, pallets, and classes for shipping.
• Verify shipment suitability (weight, size, product, special requirements).
• Optimize customer orders into cost-effective shipments.
• Coordinate and direct shipments and carrier equipment utilization.
• Communicate and obtain approval for expedite shipments or rate overrides.
• Fully utilize the Transportation Management System to manage order lifecycle.
